The event coordinators took last year’s suggestions into consideration and have made a few modifications to this year’s annual le Tour de Red Cell cycling events.  There are no “unnatural” turns, plenty of long stretches of road without turns, and very lightly trafficked asphalt.  The three courses are as follows:

1) We’ve added a 25-mile course which is nicely suited to families, new cyclists and those on a tight time schedule.  The terrain is “gently-rolling” with no major climbs, yet challenging for everyone.

2) The intermediate-length course traverses scenic country roads with plenty of “rollers” to ensure a great workout.  You’ll get back in plenty of time to enjoy first dibs on a great lunch you can dine on inside or outside with plenty of tables and chairs provided this year.

3) The “feature ride” this year begins with some “pump-it-up” rollers until you reach Fountain Inn where you’ll cruise the flats through the railroad towns of Owings, Gray Court and Barksdale before resuming the “rollers” again.  With turns kept to “only when necessary” and nearly 20 miles of flat terrain, this course can be completed at a pretty brisk pace.
